## Taiwan’s high demand market

The total private English language market in Taiwan is currently valued at: **$583.7 million**, of which center-based learning is by far the most popular form of study, with more than **60%** of Taiwanese English language students choosing this approach.

Also, according to a survey conducted in 2018 by Morar HPI, **70% of Taiwanese consider they have no knowledge of English** or perceived their knowledge to be basic, while 84% indicated that they had studied English in the past.
